Breaking the Chain of Pornography

\"But he said to me, \'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.\'\"  2 Corinthians 12:9 Pornography is the secret many Christian men won’t admit. It promises excitement but delivers emptiness. It looks harmless but steals silently. It feels private, yet its damage spreads. The truth is that porn is a stronghold. It thrives in loneliness, stress, anger, and unmet needs. Many men don’t watch porn because they are evil, but because they are empty, anxious, or ashamed. Porn offers fake comfort when real connection feels out of reach. Yet the very thing a man turns to for relief becomes the chain keeping him trapped.

Porn promises control but ends up taking control of you. It sets you up in a cycle.  You watch, you feel guilty, you watch again and become numb to guilt. Porn thrives in secrecy and weakens a man’s soul. Behind the habit is the need for intimacy. Porn never fills and will never  fill the intimacy gap. Porn doesn’t stay on the screen in your hand inside the toilet. It spills into real life. It affects intimacy in your marriage and give you a distorted view of what intimacy.

What most men who watch porn don’t know is that there is a camera or a smart phone, a director or others who controlled and direct what you need to see to make you addicted. Porn is intentionally packaged, edited and shown from angles to arouse your lust.

Over a billion men visits porn in a week. It is a big money industry controlled by demons, evil men and producers. They don’t care about your pleasure, they care about your soul. The porn pop up is a controlled alogarithms targeted intentionally at you. You are their products because it is free. The more you watch, the more money they make. It’s a clickbait technology where you are baited to watch more.

Porn makes one’s prayer feel fake. Porn removes the presence of God and makes scripture looks powerless. It changes how a husband sees his wife. Porn makes young men have distorted views of women. Porns are actors and actresses acting for money. They don\'t enjoy any intimacy. It\'s all for the camera.

It creates evil desires. Studies reveal that 64 percent of Christian men view porn monthly. Research shows regular porn use increases the chance of divorce by 200 percent. It’s also tied to higher anxiety, depression, and even sexual dysfunction.

Porn hurt the man and it hurts everything and everyone connected to him.

But grace. Grace speaks louder. Porn thinks it got you trapped. Grace sets you free.” Porn redefines your identity.” Grace says, “You are not an addict.” Grace doesn’t excuse sinful habits. No. Grace equips you for victory over sin, when you are ready to break the chains.

Willpower alone doesn’t conquer porn. It is a stubborn demon. Freedom comes when a man’s mind is renewed through knowledge.
