Today, both men and women are challenged when they encounter new perspectives on some biblical stories. Some are startled by the bold, often unsettling actions of the women I wrote about. Many are interested in the lessons these women offer in our digital crazy world. The narratives of these dangerous women have been used in various ways.
Sometimes, many preach or write about them to perpetuate their limited understanding. What I write is simply profound truths about human nature, power, and influence. Whether in church or in any clime, dangerous men and women abound. These women stories serve as tools for reflection and growth if we do not want to live in denial. Let’s reflect together on the roles of women in biblical history and reflect on the lessons the Lord will have us learn.
I write from a perspective. Though, I’m a theologian by training, I do not write from theological correctness but a practical guide to understand human nature using these women as illustrations. I do not have all the answers either. Human nature does not answer to textbook analysis many times.
Not all answers have been provided and certainly not all questions are resolved, but enough insight has been offered to ignite thought-provoking conversations. My goal is to encourage deep reflection and open dialogue on how we all can learn from these archetypes. Including me. Further, the Bible is full of stories that teach us profound lessons, both through righteous and unrighteous characters. That is the beauty of the Bible. The Bible does not hide the flaws of its characters. This book is not just about pointing out the flaws of these seven infamous women but also about extracting wisdom from their lives. By understanding their influence, mistakes, and strategies, we all can learn to lead better, live wisely, and guard themselves against destructive tendencies. This book is a call to all to be discerning for dangerous women who pretend spirituality do exist indeed. My prayer is that everyone who reads this will be more discerning, wiser, and equipped to understand who men and women are.
